Material Connection / Compensated Referral Disclosure

Plain-language disclosure duties for anyone who may benefit from a SmartVest referral.
1. Plain-language disclosure
If you may receive money, commission, a discount, a benefit, or another advantage from a SmartVest referral, that relationship can affect how people evaluate your recommendation. Disclose it clearly, prominently, and close to the recommendation before the person acts.
2. Recommended wording
“I may be eligible to receive a referral reward if you use my SmartVest referral and the applicable program requirements are satisfied.” If the benefit differs, describe the actual connection accurately. Do not rely only on a profile page, hashtag, vague wording, or disclosure hidden after the recommendation.
3. No reward promise
Disclosure does not mean a reward exists. Compensation is possible only when an approved active versioned program/campaign applies and all conditions are met. Check the applicable program or campaign for current availability.
4. Responsibility and contact
